Take your students’ beginner sewing skills up a notch by learning additional techniques and sewing skills while creating summer essential pieces. This class is ideal for students who have taken a Sewing with Sereia course in the past or have been practicing sewing skills with a basic level of comprehension and ability.
Students will create 3-4 fun fabric projects that challenge their artistic abilities. Projects are designed to take the student through the entirety of the making and sewing process. Examples of projects may include:
~ Sun glass Case
~ Beach Shorts
~ Beach Towel Backpack
~ Bucket Hat
Your student is expected to use machines and sharp tools in a safe way and be able to follow directions.
If you own a sewing machine, students are encouraged to bring it. Otherwise, basic tools and sewing machines will be provided for use.
Lisa started her sewing journey at the age of 8 in a summer camp much like this. Sewing quickly became a lifelong passion, which led to studies in fashion design and patternmaking and a career in the apparel industry. Looking to inspire the next generation of makers, this course is designed to add knowledge and expand their skillset.
Camp is held daily 9am-1pm.
