This year Women On Waves celebrates the stoke that lives within us all. 

Stoke means something different to everyone. To us, stoke can be that moment your heart starts to beat a little faster as the swell lines up, the cheers from the lineup when you catch a wave, and the connection, (smells and sounds) to the ocean that stays with you long after you leave the water.

​Stoke can also be finding the courage to paddle for a wave that feels just beyond your comfort zone. It's laughing after a wipeout, celebrating each other's victories, and sharing stories on the beach long after the session ends. But more than anything, stoke is what happens when women come together to share waves, sunshine, laughter, and the ocean.

​Whether this is your first competition or you're a WOW veteran, Women On Waves brings surfers and swimmers of all ages and abilities together to share the ocean, build confidence, and celebrate the stoke that connects us all.
